Gateway Community Church is a Southern Baptist Church and agrees with the doctrinal statement called the "Baptist Faith & Message". However, in brief, we believe the following:

| THE BIBLE
The Old and New Testament are the Word of God and are without error. Studying and applying God's word will change one's life! 

| THE TRINITY
God is one God revealed in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We call this the Trinity. 

| JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of a virgin, crucified, died for our sins, and was resurrected from the dead just as the scriptures tell us. Jesus came to reconcile the world to God so that we can have an eternal relationship with Him. 

| SALVATION
All who receive, by faith, Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, are born again of the Holy Spirit and will spend eternity with God. To receive Him, one must recognize that they are a sinner, turn from their sin and place their trust in Jesus who died for them. 

| THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, changes us, and sets believers apart to a holy life. He is the teacher of the Word and our Guide for daily life. 

| ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
All who are saved cannot lose their salvation and those who are not saved will suffer conscious punishment. 

| BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER
Christ instituted the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, to be observed until He returns.
